Cookie policy

01What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember, for example, which answer was chosen in the consent window, or that a session is open. We apply the same rules to other technologies that work in a similar way, such as the browser's local storage.

02Which files we use

Necessary

The site won't work properly without them. This is where we store your choice in the consent window (for up to 12 months) and, on the test version of the site, the fact that the access password was entered correctly (for up to 90 days). Orders add a file that keeps the order session going, deleted once the order is finished. These files can't be switched off in the site settings, because without them there would be nothing to use.

Functional

They remember your choices so that the site looks the way it did last time on your next visit. We don't use any files in this category today. If that changes, we'll ask for your consent.

Analytics

We don't store files like these. We count visits without cookies and without storing IP addresses, as the privacy policy explains.

Marketing

These would be used for ads and for tracking you on other sites. We don't have any and don't plan to.

03Content from other services

Which song is playing in the café right now and what comes on after it, the album covers, and the name and cover of our playlist are fetched from Spotify by our server, so just visiting the site doesn't connect you to Spotify. The “Listen on Spotify” and “Play our playlist” buttons are ordinary links: you only go to Spotify once you click one, and only then do Spotify's rules apply, including its own cookies.

The latest Instagram posts are fetched by our server, not by your browser, so simply visiting the site doesn't connect you to Instagram. Only clicking a post takes you there.

The pages for creating an account, signing in and recovering a password use Cloudflare Turnstile, the “are you a robot?” check. Its script loads from Cloudflare's servers on those pages only and looks at characteristics of your browser to tell a person from a bot. It protects a service you've asked for, so we treat it like the files the site needs to work and don't ask for consent (Article 398(4) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law). The details are in the privacy policy.

Photos, videos and fonts load from our own server. The site doesn't fetch anything from advertising networks.

04Our legal basis

We store necessary files on the basis of Article 398(4) of the Polish Electronic Communications Law, which allows storing information that's needed to provide a service the user has asked for. For all other files we need your consent, which we ask for in the window at the bottom of the screen (Article 398(1) of that Act and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

05How to change or withdraw your consent

You can change your choice at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” in the site's footer. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect anything that happened before.

You can also manage these files in the browser itself, in its privacy settings. There you can see the stored files, delete them and block them in future. Blocking the necessary files may stop parts of the site from working.
